The Jesus Experience is a major new historical documentary series commissioned by Channel 5, which tells the story not just of Christianity but also the cultures it informed and helped to forge from ancient Israel, the Roman Empire and the Mediterranean Basin, to Asia, Africa and Russia. Focusing on a different culture each hour, the series shows how Christ is the inspiration for great art in these cultures from painting to music, writing to dance.
