The story takes place in the wood working shop of Rabbi Simeon where Jacob and other young students are competing for the great honour to become an apprentice with the builders of a new Synagogue. Undermined by others in the class and struggling with the responsibilities of helping with his family business, young Jacob tries to find time to complete his project to show his talents as a wood craftsman and win the coveted apprenticeship. Along the way he discovers some important lessons in life, and sacrifices his best work for a far greater prize.
Two original songs are featured and sung by Blake Ewing (Full House) and Kasey Leigh (PBS "The Zone").
