ITV COMMISION NINTH SERIES OF PLANET ROCK PROFILES

ITV have just confirmed they will be commissioning series 9 of Planet Rock Profiles, consisting of 15 episodes, with the first episode featuring The Killers. Planet Rock is the longest-running commissioned series on ITV Night-time, where it’s currently enjoying an impressive 21% market share.

Planet Rock is the world’s leading series of profiles of major music artist with 100 episodes currently available. Sold in 124 countries and on 50 airlines, Planet Rock features in-depth interview with major artists such as Beyonce, Sting, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Coldplay, REM, Tom Jones and Kylie.

Other recent Planet Rock sales for previous series include Biography Channel Spain, MTVFinland and Hansenet Germany.

Monster Distributes is also busy with its animation catalogue, with Animania in the US recently taking Zimbabwean animated series Jungle Beat. Animania has also recently licensed Monster’s pre-school animated series Why?, and specials Harvie Krumpet, Ape and The Lost Little Caterpillar.

Other recent sales for Monster Distributes includes RTE’s purchase of new US animated series Bugtime Adventures and Kids Ten Commandments, with ITV in the UK, KIKA Germany, Three Lines in the Netherlands, LogoMedia Portugal, AVO Italy and Cinenet Greece also taking Kids Ten Commandments, while Sogecable in Spain and HBO Latin America, as well as 8 airlines, have recently taken Oscar-winning Harvie Krumpet.
