First off the block for the joint CHEEKY MONSTER venture is 26 new episodes of the animated pre-school series SLIM PIG which will immediately air on CBC Canada this fall. The first series of 13 episodes has already aired successfully in the UK on CITV and Cartoon Network and in 35 other territories worldwide. The new series will be launched at MIPCOM Junior.
Other animated projects from the venture, with completed pilots chosen by MEDIA and the Irish Film Board for funding, are a cute pre-school series called TIPO about a globe-trotting dog and his friendly adventures and a wacky fun-filled action series called PLUTO 5 for 6 to 11 year olds about a worst nightmare bunch of intergalactic robotic characters.
